Hope

Healing for the soul

Hope was release last month. Together with taiwanese artistes F.I.R band members Real and Faye, Liu Geng Hong and Wing, Sun Ho recorded the Mandarin song "Eternal Blossom"

This deeply moving number depicted love as a flower that would never wither. Living up to her status as the "Mando-pop Queen of soul." Sun's uplifting voice would heal emotional scares and encourage listeners to embrace love.

Sun takes on the Olympics hymn

On 29 February 2008, The Beijing Olympics launched its travelling exhibition “Olympic Philately & Cultural Tour” with the officiating ceremony held at the grand Royal Theatre within the famed Forbidden City.

During the ceremony, the Olympic Hymn was sung for the first time ever in Mandarin, and taking on the honoured role was our very own Sun!

Shining in a beautiful yellow qipao (cheongsam) and accompanied by a choir of Overseas Chinese from 16 different nationalities, Sun performed beautifully and mesmerised the crowd present with her pitch-perfect rendition of the Hymn. Three cheers for Sun!

Not only were the key leaders of the International Olympic Committee present, but also watching her perform were many other important officials from the Ministry of Culture, Chinese Olympic Committee and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.

When interviewed, Sun told leading global provider of breaking news Reuters that, as an overseas Chinese, she was very proud of China hosting the Olympics and it was important to believe in ourselves no matter what others may say. The event was also broadcast and reported on other major news service providers, Phoenix, Channel News Asia and CCTV.

Wow! Sun is sure doing Singapore proud by shining her brightest on the Beijing Olympics.

Sun’s album, Embrace

Sun’s album, Embrace, is very well received and emerged as the #3 best selling album on Taiwan’s G-Music Mandarin Chart, with just a slight sales margin after Jolin Tsai’s album.

This achievement was reported in Singapore’s entertainment and lifestyle magazine U-Weekly, released on 1 March 2008 and Taiwanese daily Ping Guo Ri Bao, dated 12 January 2008.

Sun also clinched the third spot on G-music Combo Overall Album Sales Chart 2007 with the album, proving herself yet again as one of the most popular artistes in Taiwan.
Being her 5th Mandarin album, Embrace bears the hallmarks of Sun’s success formula—inspiring music, hard work and a sincere heart.

Congratulations Sun! Your efforts have paid off and we are so proud of you!
